Rich comes from a restaurant family who taught him that food is a way to be in relationship with others–it is how they showed love and care for one another. From a young age he was taught to make people feel at home and to feel like part of his family. This is the philosophy he brings to all endeavors he undertakes. Starting off at the tender age of 10 years old he worked for his cousin at a local eatery/delicatessen in New Jersey and continued to work in and around the food service industry for most of his life.
Although Rich would leave the restaurant business from time to time to venture out into other venues like acting, singing, television production, a stint as a casino croupier, not to mention becoming a successful owner operator of a vending machine company, Rich always had the vision of owning his own restaurant and creating an environment of community, family-run care and great food.
Rich, with the support and love of his family has made Giovanni Ristorante (Named in the memory of Rich’s late father) a huge success by treating customers as honored guests and putting beautiful food on the table for all to enjoy.
